Madison Leiren grew up with Norwegian food, traditions, and fairy tales. “There were always a lot of stories about the old county in our family, and our houses were filled with trolls and paintings of the fjords.” It made a big impression on her as a little girl; she has always been intrigued by a world of mythical fantasy. Leiren is a huge fan of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and she loves Viking history and legend.
Madison’s oeuvre includes ethereal wedding gowns, stunning quinceanera dresses, bridesmaid dresses, swimwear for prominent national calendar shoots, delicate lingerie, and ready-to-wear designs, all requiring utmost precision in her work and knowledge spanning many specializations. She prides herself in creating her designs with challenging fabrics, nuanced detailed hand work, and accentuated silhouettes that come together to create garments are anything but conventional.
As a Norwegian-American, Madison also has a great concern for the environment. In her view, “fast fashion” often comes with an extremely high price to the both the environment and the humans involved in its production in less fortunate developing countries. That is yet another reason Madison creates her items custom to the bride- it generates less waste for the planet, which makes an eco-conscious bride’s decision even easier.
“A dress is more than fabric and thread...
it is the art of telling a story."
